Goat Milk

You may know that Cleopatra regularly soaked in a tub of milk, but you may not know the truly amazing qualities of milk for our skin. Goat’s milk  with shorter protein strands, called caseins, allow our skin to absorb the beneficial vitamins and minerals found naturally in goat’s milk. Fresh goat’s milk also has a pH level(acidity) that is very close to that of the human epidermis. The light acids, caprylic, capric, and caparoic acids work together to maintain the perfect pH for our skin. The pH level of our skin is essential because our skin has an “acid mantle” which is a slightly acidic layer that acts as a buffer to bacteria, viruses and other contaminants. Moreover, goat’s milk is packed with vitamins A,B, C, D, E, and K, as well as calcium, potassium, and magnesium! Here is a break-down of the vitamins:

Provitamin B5:  Regeneration of skin cells giving your skin a softer feel.

Vitamin A:  Improves skin elasticity and tone helping with lines and wrinkles. Improves collagen density and smoothes skin surface.

Vitamin C:  An anti-oxidant which improves skin elasticity and general health.

Vitamin D:  Sustains healthy skin tissue.

Vitamin E:  Protects from oxidant damage. Moisturizes, anti-inflamatory, and offers healing and anti-aging effects.

Vitamin K:  Known for its blood coagulating properties.

The regular use of fresh goat’s milk soap will make a huge difference to the way your skin feels. The benefits of fresh goat’s milk and organic oils, such as organic olive oil and organic coconut oil, will leave your skin silky smooth, healthy , and moisturized.
